What you get with Sons of the Forest

When you order, you choose the server name, the game mode, the max players, the server password and the your steam64 id. The rest you can change once it's running.

Ask Munin

How players join

In Sons of the Forest, open Multiplayer, then Join, and click Direct at the bottom. Enter the address and port from your server page.

The server only saves by autosave, not when it stops. Every 5 minutes instead of 10 loses less at a restart.

Does the server save when it stops?

No, it saves by autosave, every 10 minutes from the start. Wait for the autosave before stopping, or set it to save more often.

Can I change the game mode later?

A world keeps the game mode it was made with, so a new game mode needs a new world.

Can I use mods?

No, mods aren't supported on this server type.

Where are the servers?

In a data centre in Helsinki, Finland, with DDoS protection. That gives low ping to players across Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark.

How fast is my server ready?

Usually within a few minutes of paying. We email you the address, and the control panel shows when it's online.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel under Billing and the server runs until the end of the period you've paid for. Within 14 days of ordering you can change your mind completely and only pay for the days you used.
